We are friendly, knowledgeable and most important of all, we simply love what we do – create great content.
We’re a small but passionate team of professionals with a ridiculous amount of production and post-production experience all the while maintaining our passion for the content creation industry. Did I mention we love what we do?
No idea is too small, too big or crazy in our view, we just love the challenge of coming up with solutions to your post-production needs.

Our history
Sunpix Post is the production facility formerly known as VTR and Suite 16. It was co-founded by respected audio engineer Neil Newcombe, a 40-year veteran of the Auckland production scene.
Over the years VTR has post-produced work for iconic kiwi television soap Shortland Street and in recent years Survivor New Zealand.
In 2017, Neil decided to hand his ‘baby’ over to a team who’d respect and build on his legacy. That team is Sunpix Post.
Meet the Team
We're a friendly bunch who are always keen to make new connections.
Daniel’s an experienced television finishing editor who’s worked on a number of high-profile series over the past 20 years. Cutting his teeth in a post-production facility in Perth, Daniel joined TVNZ in 1999 as an online editor. Since then he’s been involved in all manner of editing, finishing and colourist work including, TV series, Documentary, Film, News and Current Affairs,Corporates and TV commercials.
Kevin is a senior editor with 15 years of experience of working on a variety of projects. His editing credits include Sky Grassroots Rugby, Native Affairs, Best of NZ with Nick Honeyman and Attitude. He is also responsible for our content distribution both locally and overseas.
Kevin dabbles in Timelapse photography, specialising in landscapes. He is also a keen hiker, having traversed three of NZ’s Great Walks.
Olly’s the newest addition to the team but comes with a wealth of experience after 25 years in the industry. A senior editor, he’s worked across a wide range of projects from commercials to documentaries, television shows and music videos. His recent television credits include ‘Whanau Living’ and ‘Outdoors with Geoff’ and his documentary credits include ‘Lucy Lawless 5 Days in Bangladesh’ and Merata Mita’s ‘Te Pito O Te Henua’. As an editor for Brand Developers, you can blame him for giving us the ‘Thin Lizzie’ 6 in 1 and the ‘Renovator Better Grip’.
Ethan has many years of film and television experience here and overseas. His expertise range from sound designing, mixing and music composition. He has worked for the likes of Disney, Discovery Channel, ESPN, Nickelodeon and MTV. He is also a very accomplished musician (violin/piano) having performed in many concerts over the years.
Teresa is an integral part of our front of house operations. She deals with our accounts and the general running of our office. She is your first point of contact for any queries you may have.
Leo is our audio intern. Shadowing Ethan, Leo is learning the skills and knowledge required to master the art of the mix using protools. Leo’s interests include studio sound recording and hip hop/rnb music composition. His favourite colour is blue.
Toby is our edit intern. He is learning the editing and post-production process and he has a keen interest in graphic design and animation. Toby’s other interests include online gaming and listening and creating music.
The Sunpix Post directors are all Television industry veterans. Daniel is the‘techie guy’ with a wealth of production experience, he's teamed up with three content creators who’ve cut their teeth on TVNZ’s flagship show for the Pacific community, Tagata Pasifika. Stephen Stehlin’s the long-time producer of the show while Ngaire Fuata’s hugely experienced in production management. And even though he’s handy with a skill-saw, John Utanga brings the journalism rigour to the show. Keen to expand into other production areas through their Production company Sunpix Ltd, the trio are looking forward to working with Dan to create awesome Digital Content!
